What gardens like ours cost
You should know whether we fit your budget before you book. There are two numbers: a fixed design fee, then the build, priced from the finished plan before any digging. Every range here is a sample the owner replaces.
| Project | Typical investment | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Patios and outdoor rooms | from $45,000 for a paver terrace to $160,000+ for a stone room with a covered structure | 3 to 5 weeks of design, 4 to 8 weeks of build |
| Outdoor kitchens and fire | from $55,000 for a counter and grill to $180,000+ for a covered kitchen with a fireplace | 4 to 6 weeks of design, 6 to 10 weeks of build |
| Planting design | from $18,000 for a front garden to $75,000+ for a whole property | 2 to 4 weeks of design, 1 to 3 weeks of planting |
| Landscape lighting | from $9,000 for paths and steps to $40,000+ for a whole property | 1 to 2 weeks of design, 1 to 2 weeks of install |
| Slopes, walls and drainage | from $30,000 for a drainage fix to $250,000+ for terraced walls on a steep lot | 3 to 8 weeks of design and permitting, 3 to 10 weeks of build |
Design fee versus build
The design fee pays for the site survey, the concepts and the measured plan. In this demo it starts from $4,500 (sample) and is credited to the build if we build it. The build price comes from the plan, line by line.
What moves the price most
- Slope and the walls needed to hold it
- Drainage: where the water goes and how far
- Access for machines on a tight side yard
- Natural stone versus pavers
- Gas, power and cover structures
Financing
Many clients use savings or a home equity line. If you want to spread the cost, we introduce you to a lender we work with. Lender name, terms and disclosures go here.
Illustrative example, not an offer
$835/month
on $80,000 over 15 years at an example 9.5% APR. Approval, rates and terms come from the lender.
Thinking about the yard before next summer?
Start with one conversation. A designer walks the property with you for about an hour. You leave knowing what is possible, roughly what it costs, and how long design and build take.
